We’re Lindsay and Natalie, co-creators of Mary+Shelley.

We met in fashion school years ago and quickly realized we shared a vision. For years, we’ve talked about starting a brand that felt more us than anything else on the market — an alternative line that leans moody, is sometimes feminine, sometimes edgy, but always dark and expressive — always linked to the art and music that inspires us.

After years in the industry, we had grown tired of wastefulness and repetition. At the same time, the growing wave of moodier, more expressive fashion and music was carving out space for something different. We saw an opportunity to finally bring this dream to life.

Lindsay brings her background in fashion merchandising, with corporate experience on the business side and a strong eye for creative direction. Natalie’s expertise centers around creative and technical design. Her career focuses on guiding small brands through the design process bringing their visions to life, helping them navigate the industry from the design side.

Mary+Shelley is where we combine our strengths and take full creative control. We work with re-animated deadstock to create pieces that feel personal, lived-in, and built to last. These aren’t fast-fashion throwaways—they’re made with intention, shaped by our story, and we hope they become a part of yours.
